The fan coil unit and the condensing unit are connected together by externally insulated refrigeration pipes. Pipe-work on external walls are covered by UV protected Smartduct PVC channeling and are run adjacent to the building. The fan coil unit has a dedicated condensing drain. The indoor drain runs directly to the outside guttering and is fitted with an ‘S’ trap to stop any back flow of water.

As an added safety feature, an additional drip tray is suspended under the fan coil unit. This drain is run from the safety tray and penetrated throughout the outside eave. The purpose of this is to indicate unit drain failure should it occur.
